Color Your Way: Five Small Quilt Designs
If you’d like to explore color, but are a bit intimidated to do it alone, these small quilt pattern designs – along with enlightening commentary about how each pattern was derived – will help you get started. They’re like a mini-color workshop! You can try the Lone Bird applique pattern below, or the lighthouse applique pattern featured in Chasing the Light. There’s also a very simple pieced-block pattern that when used with the certain fabric combinations produces amazing results! A big thanks to the editors of Quiltmaker magazine for sharing these free quilting patterns and encouraging us to learn by “playing.”
