This machine embroidery project uses an embroidering technique called candlewicking, a type of whitework that’s created by hand-stitching colonial knots on to heavyweight cotton fabrics using candlewick yarn. You’ll be able to employ some a few of these traditional techniques – traditionally used for adding texture to bedspreads and pillowcases – to jazz up a jacket pattern in a unique way.
